About the DARPAN Admission Portal
The DARPAN portal is a digital platform launched by ASSEB for streamlining the online admission process into HS First Year classes. It enables students to apply for up to five institutions of their choice in one go—without the need for physical visits. The entire process, from application to merit list release and admission confirmation, is conducted online.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students must have passed the HSLC (Class 10) or equivalent examination.
- Applicants from any recognized board are eligible to apply.
How to Apply for Assam HS 1st Year Admission?
Follow the steps below to apply online through the DARPAN portal:
- Visit the official DARPAN admission portal (link in Important Links section below).
- Click on ‘Register a New Account’.
- Enter your personal and academic details.
- Upload required documents (photograph, HSLC mark sheet, etc.).
- Choose up to 5 institutions/courses as per your preference.
- Set a 4-digit PIN and complete registration.
- After login, submit the application and download the acknowledgement.

Editing Your Submitted Application
In case of any mistakes in your application:

Assam HS 1st Year Admission Merit List
- The merit list for each institute will be released on 27th April 2025 at 10:00 AM.
- Selection will be based on the student’s performance in the HSLC exam.
- Students must log in to the DARPAN portal, check their selection status, and accept the admission offer within the stipulated period (27–29 April 2025).
- Note: Once an institute is selected, it cannot be changed, so choose carefully.
How to Check the Merit List
- Go to the DARPAN portal.
- Click on ‘Check Merit List’.
- Enter your Mobile Number, DOB, and Security PIN.
- Click Login, then select ‘Application Submitted’ to view your selection status.
- If selected, click ‘Accept Admission Request’ to confirm.

For Institutions
All colleges, HS schools, and senior secondary schools registered with DARPAN must update their institution profile using their login credentials. Newly permitted institutions must register using their UDISE or AISHE code and a token (sent via SMS).
